Albums of the Year: Cloud Nothings worth noting

YOU may or probably may not remember that Cloud Nothings’ Attack On Memory was named number one on my half-time report on the Albums of the Year back in the summer.
And the album is still going strong on the final end-year shortlist – despite some strong competition from similar sounding acts.
If I can talk you through my thought process, the likes of Cast Of Cheers’ Family, Fighting With Wire’s Colonel Blood, Pond’s Beard Wives Denim, The Royal Headache’s self-titled LP and more were all vying for this slot.
But for sheer raw emotion coupled with raucous rock, for the gritty intensity of this collection, Cloud Nothings eventually reigned – just listen, you wouldn’t dare argue against it!
If it gets your vote, click on the poll below – and if it doesn’t, let me know in the comments!
